Advertisement Managent for Wordpress
This is how the plugin looks like in the adminarea (click for large version):
So, where will my advertisements appear in my blog?
Adspot 1: Below posts title on the front page.
Adspot 2: Below the title when post is open.
Adspot 3: Below post content when post is open.
Adspot 4: Below title when a page is open.
Adspot 5: Below page content when a page is open.
Adspot 6: Below the commentboxes.
Adspot 7: Above the header.
Adspot 8: Below the footer.
How to install Advertisement Management?
You can install Advertisement Management directly from your admin area thru the Plugin Browser. If you want to download the plugin from Wordpress.org and upload the files manually all you need to do is follow these simple steps:
- Download the plugin from Wordpress.org.
- Upload advertisement-management.php to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- A new menu named Advertisement Management should now appear in your settings-menu.
- Put in your advertisementcodes and you are good to go.
Thats about it. There’s really nothing more to say about this plugin. Everything is really simple – and almost anyone would know how to put advertisements on their blog using this plugin.
Donations

Advertisement Management for Wordpress requires version 2.8 or later of Wordpress. It’s compatible up to the current version of Wordpress, 2.5.
How do you like Advertisement Management? Please leave me your feedback below.

Initially I thought it looked brill – unfortunately the first ads aren’t showing – any tips? I was using this code snippet from Amazon to advertise a coding book

“Code snippet from Amazon”

I assume this is just something simple to sort out?

I have installed the plugin and I added a couple of adcodes in the boxwes – saved the changes but nothing is showing. I am using a theme called iphones which comes from a crew called ringtones. Any suggestions?
October 30th, 2009 at 3:58 pm
@Ray Cassidy – I guess this would be something related to the theme you’re using, and not the plugin. Try with another theme and check if if everything works. I just tried your link from amazon with Wordpress default theme and everything was just the way it should be.
I’ll check if I can find the “iPhones-theme” later today and then see what might be wrong.

@Leandro – Glad you like it. Thanks.
@Ray Cassidy – If you ever read this – I can’t find any theme named iphones anywhere, witch means I just really can’t help you out. Sorry about that.

Hi there, i’ve got a problem, when i put an advert link and image url to the Ad manager, it works just fine but text that is below the advert becomes a link to the advert… how can i fix that?
November 21st, 2009 at 11:10 pm
@Eugene: Hehe, sounds like you forgot to “close” your link after the image? Did you put the “< / a >” just after the image, and not the text?

Hi,
Can limit the ads within a page in 1 adspot? Because adsense is limit to max 3 same ads type per page.
And, possible to have difference ads in the same adspot?
Thank you.
November 25th, 2009 at 12:46 am
@RMvalues – Sorry, none of that is possible in this version of the plugin. I don’t think there will be any new version with any more features for Advertisement Management eighter.
November 25th, 2009 at 5:04 pm
@admin – Thank you for you clarification.

H there – love the plug-in works on all lof my sites – except it stopped working on this one. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, and I have even changed themes – it just stopped working – it will not hold the code. I insert the code, save it, and it disappears. Any suggestions?
November 26th, 2009 at 10:53 am
@becky, that doesn’t sound good. Are you sure you’re using version 2.8 or later on that installation of Wordpress? This plugin won’t work with versions before 2.8.

any screensoot for ads image place..??
November 29th, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Nope, I don’t have any screenshots, bee. It’s really not any need for any screenshots of some ads as the description pretty mutch say where the ads will appear. If you check out that small adsensebox I have in the top of this page you’ll see what it looks like with ads below title inside posts & pages.

Hi havent try yet looks thought
Can you track clicks?
thanks
Marullos

@Marullos: Nope, you can’t track any clicks with this plugin. If you need to track clicks of your advertisements I suggest using something created for tracking the performance of that. Maybe OpenX could be a solution for you.

So far the features work well.
Would you have support for post and comment feeds?
December 27th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
It works great for me.
If you ever decide to put out an upgrade i’d suggest an option to add ad code into the middle of post content like Adman offer.
Thanks.
December 29th, 2009 at 7:31 am
- Sorry for my late response. You know, christmas and all of that crap…
@DavidL- Sorry, ads in the RSSfeeds is not a feature in the current version of the plugin.
@Steven Richardson – I’, glad it works for you.
I will absolutely concider your comment about ads in the middle of a post when creating a new version of the plugin. (sorry to say it, but I don’t know when that will be.) I will also concider putting in ads for the RSS-feeds like DavidL asked for.
Atm I’m just really not sure what I should use to put ads in the feeds. If anyone has any tips for me it would be great. If there’s not any tips, I’ll will find some way to put that in anyway.
Anyways, as I said earlier, I am not sure if I will be creating a new version, but your comments is absolutely great inspiration of what features to add if i create anything.

HI do you know if this plugin will work on my blog – http://www.beyouonlybetter.com its not a traditionally laid out blog. thanks in advance!

Laura, I can’t answer if it will work or not. If I should take a guess I think everything will work with your blog just fine. You should try it, and if it does’t work you can simply just deactivate it again. Good luck
@everyone reading this: – I did hear from a total of 2 people having problems with the plugin since v. 2.9 of Wordpress. Their blog ends up jumping from center of the screen to the left. I can’t understand why that’s happening, so atm there’s nothing I can do about that for anyone who has that problem.

I have used your plugin successfuly in 2.8.6 and 2.9
In 2.9.1 I found that after adding an add in the footer and header, my comments got jumbled such that the box for each comment to display in, is only 1 row high, but the text runs down into the footer over all the other parts of the page…when I deactivate your plugin the problem goes away…the only customization I did was to parts of my theme to change slightly the location of the ads introduced by your plugin…for example your plugin put the header banner ad in the header tag area, and I moved it to the body and centered the banner with a “class=” tag in the image tag, via the html box in your plugin….I do not know when it happened but sometime after that the comments were no longer readable in Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari…
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated as I want to use your plugin, as it is so helpful…

Admin, as for the blog jumping from center to left, I had the same problem; it occured to me when I started using the top banner spot via your plugin…you plugin inserted the function for that ad in by header tag, that threw my blog to the left, but I moved the tag down a few lines in my header.php file to the body section and that resolved the issue…
like so…
then to center the top banner ad I put this code in the plugin’s window to center the image….
<IMG class="aligncenter" SRC="

The best and simple way to integrate adsense in WP !
Thanks!
January 28th, 2010 at 2:30 am
@jc, thanks for posting that small solution. I’m sure it could help the people who has the problem. What I’ve managed to find out is that this bug is theme-related and not related to the advertisement management plugin.
- Happy holidays. (Yes, I know there’s not any holidays atm, but at least now I don’t have to say happy new year when 2011 comes.)
